With his new label and releases on Woods ‘N Bass, Mystical Disco, and Bleep Sequence, Azada steps into the producers arena to showcase his personal vision for dance music. For D-Node 153, we present a set consisting of 20 Azada originals, with a few other tracks in the mix. Enjoy this DJ set from rising force Will Azada, which he sent over with the accented title “zee techno parties zey do not schtop.”
DJ/producer Harvey McKay spent years in the Glasgow underground until he became known internationally for some explosive tracks. “Nightwalker” on Soma, “Show Face” on Saved, and “Supercell” on Drumcode are some of the most memorable, and they also demonstrate a wide stylistic range, an ability to incorporate a house feel at will. McKay is increasingly sought for his driving DJ sets. For D-Node 152 he provides a taste of that sound ahead of his first US appearance in New York at Underground Chaos this coming weekend.

Daedelus makes his return to Droid Behavior / Friendly Integration curated events this season at PRIME. Also on the bill will feature Friendly Integration founder Derek Michael, Breakcore legend Baseck, WMX of So Simple Records, and EEZIR.

So here’s the official word on Abdulla Rashim, and the first sentence is pretty much our favorite way of introducing a DJ/producer: “Not much is known of the mysterious producer Abdulla Rashim. Being situated in Sweden and having released two records, ASAYITA and GIZAW in 2011 on his own imprint, Abdulla Rashim Records, Abdulla keeps both his sound and himself below the surface.”
RaÃz joins the techno studded heavy hitting line up at Beyond Wonderland’s Cheshire Stage this year. Also on the bill will be Icons Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, and Green Velvet among others. Rumor has it, Droid Behavior will be supporting the techno stage at Insomniac’s west-coast festivals for the remainder of 2012. Stay tuned for more details.

Speedy J should need no introduction, but for those who just got here, Jochem Paap is the Rotterdam man behind a long and accomplished career in electronic music. His discography is a recommended collection of milestones across the history and styles of techno since 1990, on labels like Plus 8, Warp, NovaMute, and Music Man among others. He now heads the excellent Electric Deluxe label/brand.
