D-Knox represents the Kalamazoo artists who got started in the late '80s and came to prominence in the mid '90s on labels like Black Nation and his own Sonic Mind, an influential imprint pushing a hard and funky Midwest sound for about 20 years now. This week we present a mix from co-founder of Torque, Shine. He began his techno career in 1999, organizing parties in Osaka and DJing. In 2008 he established Lunar Club in Osaka. Shine has released on Techno Therapy, Neptuun City, and other labels, activating the scene with the launch of Torque in 2012 and the monthly Torque Label Night.
