Swedish DJ/producer Mattias Fridell got involved in his country's young '90s techno scene, finally releasing his first record with Alexander Johansson in 2000. Since then he's released records on labels like Audio Assault and Gynoid and worked with Swedish techno royal Glenn Wilson on the Tonal Path project, among other collaborations.

Behzad & Amarou dig through records during the day, produce music in their apartment at night, and spend their weekends DJing or dancing at Paris' Concrete events and other clubs. Their solid reputation as DJs is translating into upcoming releases to follow a recent feature on Concrete Music.

Music junkie Roman Lindau releases alongside Mike Dehnert and Sascha Rydell on the outstanding Fachwerk label. His work is tracked, played, and licensed by techno's elite, including two Berghain mix CDs. His vast experience across Berlin's finest dance floors generates a crowd-aware sound that puts quality house and deep techno to its highest and best use. Italian artist Raffaele Attanasio has a background in piano, composition, and arrangement, but at an early age caught the techno bug and began DJing. This week we feature a mix from Luis Ruiz, recorded live at the Cocoliche in Buenos Aires, where he is a resident. The mix is remarkably hard and fast, a hallmark of Ruiz's live sets, marking his passion for the acid house and techno he came to love in the mid-'90s.
