From beginning to end. Donato Dozzy 1st ever LA appearance.
Donato Dozzy has become a leading contemporary DJ, known for his distinctive tripping, hypnotic take on techno music. He first began exploring DJing in 1983, and by the late 1980s he discovered techno and acid. Frenchman Damien Lapéna's a man of pseudonyms, Alejandro Trebor being the best known name with recent releases on Hidden Recordings and Trapez. The Plant Worker is his guise for classically-inspired techno, the sound of frustrated cities both glittering and decayed, subterranean machines, and the techno-world vision that inspired the genre's birth. Moves between Chicago and Detroit followed, and included a three-year stint at Gramaphone Reco...

Now he's affiliated with Berlin label Killekill, having recently put out the Shadent 12", an edit of which is in the mix below. For D-Node 162, Bill has delivered a unique live PA wherein you will find him constr...

Detroit native Claude Young's been releasing excellent techno music since the early 90s on some of the best labels, and he's been DJing even longer. Behind the decks he showcases an aggressive Detroit style, fearlessly manipulating tracks and transitions. Recorded live at our PRIME event in November, this mix is no exception: an unpredictable 81 minute ride through Detroit techno, disco loops, Michael Jackson, undeniable house, contemporary techno, and a Placebo track for good measure. There...
