Saturday April 2nd, Droid and Prototype team up for another Prime, bringing with them Ben Klock playing a highly anticipated four hour set alongside Israel Vines, for the 32nd installment of Prototype. As far as Techno goes, you’d be hard pushed to find an artist who’s been at the forefront of the genre more so than Ben Klock in recent years. He’s notched up releases on Bpitch Control, Stroboscopic Artefacts, his own Klockworks and Ostgut Ton – the Berghain label, where he holds down a famed residency in Berlin. On the 2nd, he takes over the main room of LA’s Lot 613 in the Arts District for his first LA appearance in nearly a year and a half. Midwest raised and LA based, Israel Vines will set the evening’s pace. With an impressive resume of releases on labels Semantica, Cult Figures, Borrowed Language and Eye Teeth, his deep and well informed sound will be a refreshing addition to the night’s programming.
