This week we present a mix of dark, hypnotic techno from Italian DJ/producer Giorgio Gigli.
Giorgio Gigli’s sound is the result of a continuous, exploratory evolution through electronic dance music, inspired by the austere, distant, deep, and noir. Grounded by a strong ambient sensibility and a spatially-aware approach to developing sounds and feelings, his music is sculptural, reflexive, and trippy.
Gigli’s aesthetic is expressed throughout his label Zooloft Records, as well as his latest on Speedy J’s Electric Deluxe label, the record “Inside.” His DJing has lately combined this disciplined, hypnotic approach with the darker and harder side of club techno, and the set for D-Node moves through both these territories.
