It is Monday the 23rd of July 2012 and we have returning guests on the CLR Podcast. The Los Angeles born and bred brothers Vangelis and Vidal Vargas are not only founding members of the Droid Behavior event production group and record label, they also form the acclaimed techno duo Raíz and have shared the stage with many of the biggest players in today´s world of electronic music. Raíz fully harness the capabilities of Traktor, Ableton, and Maschine technology to create a thick blend of Detroit influenced techno and gritty house. They take cues from years of classical training to infuse dynamic musical expression with a delicate balance of mixing board acrobatics and symbiotic intuition. Many years of production experience inform their intense and inspiring Live PA / Digital DJ hybrid approach, which uses each track’s core essentials to form a narrative arch for every unique set. Their productions have been charted, played and supported by some of the most influential techno artists of our time and they have released their music on numerous respected labels world-wide. The present podcast is a live PA set and includes mostly unreleased material, a few edits and their upcoming release on Speedy J´s Electric Deluxe label. Their Droid Behavior events are famous for their quality and integrity all over the planet and they will be touring Europe together with further Droid Behavior artists all October long.
