Scion and Droid complete Detroit Techno’s Trifecta this month with the addition of Derrick May to the house party series. One of techno’s three originators, “The Innovator†transformed the industry with his late 80s releases including “Strings of Life,” an eternally celebrated classic. Not merely producer royalty, May’s one of the fiercest and most relevant DJs from Detroit’s early days. Also performing on the bill will be 430 West owners and Detroit Techno stalwarts Octave One. Best known for their 1999 single “Blackwater,” the Burden Brothers have never stopped headlining international festivals and club nights with their intoxicating live show. Residents RaÃz will set the stage properly, and as always this event is FREE with RSVP.
