Founder of renowned UK label Perc Trax, Perc is in-demand as a producer, re-mixer, DJ, and live performer. This week Droid presents his debut performance in LA recorded live at our very own PRIME event from August 4th. The second Droid European Tour of 2011 comes during the fall season. Individual dates for Drumcell, Audio Injection and Raíz have been announced from the end of September to the end of October with appearances in Brussels, Amsterdam (ADE), Malta, Greece, France, London, Berlin and all over Germany. VSK is the silent type, hiding behind enigmatic pseudonyms. Part of the French electronic scene, art director and active member of DEMENT3D crew, he is also a head of silicate records. As a techno-oriented producer he’s released tracks on Groom records, Neopren, and WT Records with one of his side projects: Kartei.

VSK recorded this set live in an empty warehouse, helped by two friends. They installed a huge sound system and recorded in one shot, mixing the intensity of high volume with the space’s romantic absence. The live section is followed by a short DJ set of deep, warm techno.

The young talent from France known as Octave emerged onto the techno scene in 2008 with a track on the Minus compilation “Sounds From Can Elles.” A string of releases and remixes on labels Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Momentum, and Android Muziq got him noticed by the industry and incited a series of European tours and showcases for his own imprint Silent Steps, a few of which included Droid residents Drumcell and Audio Injection. This week Octave provides a live PA of his latest work for the D-node constituency as well as some background on 5 of his selections.

Normally associated with his peers in techno from Detroit, Europe and elsewhere, John Tejada has embraced electronic music as a personal frontier, expanding on his resume as a techno recording artist as producer, remixer, DJ, and label owner. Known for crafting a brand of subtle, musical techno, his recorded output ranges across tempo and genre lines, from chilled out affairs with spacious arrangements to pulsating, densely layered, deeply energetic tracks that work magnificently in the hands of DJs as well as on the home stereo. Much in tune with the music Entity pushed, Developer was influenced by the artists they carried and shared their ideals. After a few years, Entity disbanded and Developer went on to continue his passion producing, performing and promoting. In 2005, he started the concept, production and design label Modularz which has since gained the support of DJ Deep, Sigha and Jonas Kopp with releases and remixes by Silent Servant, Santiago Salazar, Truncate and Developer himself. This week Developer showcases his fast paced deeply layered mixing style in this 48 min set containing new sounds from his label as well as contemporary selections from the global scene.
