Subversive has been a part of Droid since its inception. Fans who have witnessed his sets over the years will know him for his deep track selection and engaging mixing style, influenced by the late '90s sounds and techniques of Detroit, Berlin, and Birmingham. Berlin's Material Object makes music with a VCO dial in one hand and a mouse in the other. This week we bring you another mix informed by years of experience, this one by American producer Andrei Morant. Morant's been DJing since the '80s and releasing techno since the '90s on labels like Planet Rhythm, Template and his own Scope Recordings, founded in 2003. Spend an hour immersed in his sound, with a mix filled mostly with originals and his own remixes. Andrei will perform at this year's Interface / Scene event in Detroit during movement weekend.
