D-Node 204: JAK | SubSensory Records

Jack Coleman aka JAK has been playing and producing techno and house in the Northwest since the mid ’90s. His moving sets along with his work as a producer/remixer for labels Torque (Japan), Fade, 530Techno, Subspec, KRecordings and his own imprint SubSensory have earned him a reputation as one of the most respected proponents of underground dance music in his region.

He is also one of the main forces behind Portland’s Closer Electronic Music Festival. Closer, which is now entering its 3rd year of existence, takes cues from similarly styled showcase events around the US such as Decibel, Unsound, GATF, and Movement. This year’s lineup features John Tejada, Monty Luke, Nonfiction, Bryan Zentz, and Torque label head Masa Ueda, and well over 50 other US-based artists.

JAK’s contribution to this week’s D-Node rips through 20 tracks heavily representing his US network.
