read moreA chance meeting between me and Kai Von Glasow at a gig in Essen last year prompted the following connection. His fine blend of deep house and techno, in the manner only germans can do it, impressed my brother and i so much we had to find a way to showcase it. The next logical step was to get him on the Droid podcast for all our network and unfamiliar individuals to share in the deep. 21-year-old Kai has spent these last few years building his name with a residency at Essen, Germany’s Hotel Shanghai and two releases for Terpsiton Records. He’s just made another release appearance with “Spitting It Out” for Mild Pitch, and this week he takes things slow with a deep house-oriented mix for D-Node.

Last year his re-release of Evacuation / Shimmer struck a nerve within the techno house community, due to its original power and highlight remix by next generation Stockholm producers Skudge. He’s most recently released the Harlequin Opal EP on France’s Komplex De Deep and presents this mix of some of the groove-heavy music he’s been playing lately.
