Ukrainian Yan Cook AKA Eigenes Rezept presents an hour and a half of deep techno. Cook, who released his full-length this year on Silent Steps, actually takes his name from his culinary expertise, but it's his work in deeper dimensions of techno that brought him to Berlin's storied (and re-opened) club Tresor earlier this year. The home of hard techno hosted Cook for this live PA, a perfect introduction to the young producer.

Berlin-based, Canadian-born artist Adam Marshall, the man behind the celebrated and visually distinctive New Kanada label, provides this week's breath of fresh air. A producer and DJ who sets his own directions, Marshall breaks away from the relentless pounding we normally inflict upon subscribers (more of that next week) for a set that jumps across bass music, experimental house, and some of the core curriculum presented in a fresh manner.
